Growing up Trance was number 1 genre as it was in the charts but as time went by the harder genres started to appear and for myself i was listening to the harder sound of music more and more, like Makina, Hardcore, Hard House.
But the one genre that i really enjoyed was early Hard Trance which was late 90s going into 2000s
Scot Project, Alex Kidd, Ann Savage, Lisa Lashes, Dark By Design and still to this day my fav dj/producer.....
Yoji Biomehanika
Everything that guy done just made me want to produce music and dj to large crowds in clubs.
I seen him 3 times in my life in the famous Insideout events in Arches in Glasgow.
Everytime he blow my away with his sets and how he controlled the crowd and got everyone bouncing and dancing, was amazing to see how one person can do that with music.
It was after my first gig seen Yoji that i went and bought myself cheap KAM beltdrive turntables and went to another place that was famous for music in Glasgow... 23rd Precinct, where i bought alot of vinyl and just practiced everyday.
Later on i would go onto buying a PC and Fruityloops and trying to make music.
And to this day am still doing the same haha
(As i got older i did break away from trance and listened to more Hardcore - Angerfist and others but thats a different story to tell)
